Attraction marketing has gained a less than positive reputation much due to how it’s used in MLM
(Multi Level Marketing, AKA: “Pyramid Marketing”), but in fact, this is one of the most effective tools available to businesses to generate leads & promote their products, if done in the right way.
In MLM , agents were taught to generate leads by knocking on the doors of family, relatives and friends. The reason MLM uses Attraction marketing is because the prospective new client, the agent is trying to engaged with, is doing so out of a feeling or desire & trust towards the agent, and in most cases not because they yet have trust in the product.
These days, everyone is inundated with quantities of sales approaches, and many of us have become immune to this method, and in most cases, we even completely ignore it.
This drives the cost of advertising up, as more advertising exposure is needed, to be able to reach “listening ears” actually open to hear about the product being sold.
This article will try and explain why Attraction Marketing should be included and looked at, as a vital marketing tactic of any company needing to build quality client lead generation, on a regular basis.
The concept is a little strange to some, but the basic are: Let the prospective clients find you rather then you look for them. Prospective client will be encouraged to contact you in order seek out more information, but not to be sales pitched to, at least not in an obvious direct way. The way to go about this is to teach and educate the prospective lead. For example, you can show them how to grow and manage their business, how to live a healthier life, how to create more business opportunities towards their success path.
These are just a few examples, but can you see how this is different than regular advertising?
By not pushing a sales pitch but instead offering a “how to”, don’t you think a prospect who has never met you before is going to be a little more receptive to what you have to say.
The usage of teaching and educating, sells!
People are attracted to those who have the ability to teach them something & who are knowledgeable about a subject. Think back to the meetings you used to attend. What were your impressions of those up front doing the presentations? We’re you drawn to them because of their good looks or was it their ability to teach and educate?Education gives you something, and creating the “need” and a “Guru” figure to voice it, is the first stage of Attraction Marketing.
You will need to be clear about what you are offering and so will your website pages need to be catered for the subject to which the prospect is engaging with you, and not swamped with products and sales lines.
It’s a little like Dating. You date to test the water, if it feels good, you might jump in for a swim.
The guru figure:
This is your business face in the form of a person, who is key to unlock the educational need of the prospective lead.
Often, there will be a delicate balance between offering the right amount of information to engage with the lead, but keeping the real arsenal of information available to the person offering their information, to start unlocking these chunks of information you are offering.
This is the golden nugget businesses are looking for, and it’s important to step carefully, and not go with a hard sale, but hock the lead and wheel them in closer, gently. Like fishing, you need to know when to pull and when to let go!
The end result is a lead, who has engaged with you already, built a trusting relationship with you, and has a clear idea of what he needs and how you can help with satisfying that need.
